Spur Community Foundation grants $80,000 to 5 local nonprofits in fall granting cycle

Spur Community Foundation distributed a total of $80,000 to Wood River Valley nonprofits in its fall 2021 granting cycle, with five local organizations receiving funding.

 

This latest round of grants brings Spur’s total year-to-date distributions to $1,880,912as of Monday, Oct. 18. That includes $534,412 in discretionary grants—grants that are awarded through an application process and selected solely at Spur’s discretion, as opposed to grants that are recommended from donor-advised funds.

 

Spur awarded grants to five applicants out of 14 in its fall granting cycle. Those grantees are:

 

·     ARCH Community Housing Trust – $25,000 for capacity building

·     Flourish Foundation – $5,000 for its Compassionate Leaders Program

·     Hospice and Palliative Care of the Wood River Valley – $25,000 for general operations

·     Mountain Rides – $15,000 for a cargo trailer for its Safe Routes to School program

·     NAMI Wood River Valley – $10,000 to go toward a coordinator to work with the 5B Suicide Prevention Alliance

 

Spur accepts grant applications on a rolling basis with four review and approval cycles per year. The next grant application window closes on November 22, 2021.
